For now to fix the issue you have to activate the child theme. You can activate the child theme manually or you can simply create the child theme using the plugin given below: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-child-theme-generator/ After activating the child theme in your child themes functiosn.php file paste below given code. https://gist.github.com/anonymous/7230510989cb3a21c0038385de0d3b0b Now you can change the date formate by going to Admin panel > Setting > General.
