WP Travel Pro allows you to add custom tabs to your Single Trip pages, making it easy to display additional information such as travel tips, FAQs, policies, maps, or any other trip-related content.
You can create custom tabs in two different ways:
- Globally β The tab will appear on every trip.
- Per Trip β The tab will appear only on the selected trip.
Note: The Custom Tabs feature is available in WP Travel Pro.

Add a Custom Tab Globally
If you want the same custom tab to appear on all trips, use the Global Tabs settings.
Step 1: Open the Global Tabs Settings
From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to:
WP Travel β Settings β Tabs
Enable Force Enable on All Trips if you want all trips to use the global tab layout.
This page allows you to manage the tab layout and create custom tabs that appear across every trip.
Step 2: Create a New Tab
Scroll down to the Custom Tabs section and click Add New Tab.
Fill in the following details:
- Tab Title β The name displayed on the frontend.
- Tab Content β The information you want visitors to see.
- Display Settings (optional) β Configure the visibility of the tab if needed.
Once you’ve finished, click Save Changes.
The custom tab will now appear on all trip pages.com
Note: Content added from global tabs cannot be edited through individual tab
Add a Custom Tab for an Individual Trip
If you want a custom tab to appear only on a specific trip, you can configure it directly from the trip editor.
Step 1: Edit the Trip
Navigate to:
Trips β All Trips
Locate the trip where you want to add the custom tab and click Edit.
This opens the Trip Editor, where you can customize settings specific to that trip.
Step 2: Open the Tabs Section
Scroll down to the Trip Options panel and click Tabs from the left sidebar.
In the Tabs section, you’ll find all the options required to manage the tabs for the selected trip.
The available options include:
- Add New Tab β Creates a new custom tab for the selected trip.
- Use Global Tabs Layout β Enables the Global Tabs configuration for this trip.
- Drag & Drop Sorting β Rearrange the order of tabs by dragging them using the handle on the left.
- Expand Individual Tabs β Click the arrow icon on the right side of any tab to edit its settings.
Understanding the “Use Global Tabs Layout” Option
The Use Global Tabs Layout toggle determines whether the trip should use the global tab configuration.
- Enabled
- Uses the tabs configured in WP Travel β Settings β Tabs.
- Any changes made to the global tabs will automatically be reflected on this trip.
- Disabled
- Allows you to customize the tabs for this specific trip.
- You can add, remove, rename, reorder, or hide tabs without affecting other trips.
Tip: Disable Use Global Tabs Layout if you want this trip to have its own unique tab layout.
Step 3: Add a New Custom Tab
Click Add New Tab located above the tab list.
Enter the following information:
- Tab Title β The title displayed on the Single Trip page.
- Tab Content β The information you want visitors to see.
- Display Settings (Optional) β Configure whether the tab should be displayed.
Step 4: Arrange the Tabs
After creating your custom tab, you can change its position by dragging and dropping it using the handle on the left side of the tab.
The tabs will appear on the frontend in the same order shown in the Trip Editor.
