To book a trip, the trip has to be created in the backend section. To know how to create a trip, please refer below-given documentation link:

Please follow the below-given steps regarding how to book a trip using the WP Travel plugin:
Step 1: The Trips created using the WP Travel plugin will be displayed on the Itinerary page where users can choose a trip for booking as per their need.
Step 2: After choosing a trip, it will be redirected to the single trip page where you will be able to book a trip as shown in the screenshot

Also, the WP Travel plugin provides the Date listing feature. For the Date listing feature you need to enable fixed Departure by going to Admin Panel > Trips > Individual trips > Prices and Dates > Dates > enable Fixed Departure. and need to add Start date and End date as shown in the screenshot below

Then you need to choose the Dates option under Trip date listing to display available dates in the Date listing form on a single trip page by going to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Trip > Trip date listing as shown in the screenshot below
After choosing the Dates option in the backend, available dates will be displayed in date listing form as shown in the screenshot below
If you select the Calendar option instead of Dates option under Trip date listing by going to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Trip as shown in the screenshot below
The calendar will be displayed on the single trip page as shown in the screenshot below
Step 4: After selecting a date among available dates, a Pax selector section will appear where you need to select a pax as shown in the screenshot below
Note: You will be able to select trip extras after selecting pax under the booking tab as shown in the screenshot below.

For the checkout page, you have to create a page and add a shortcode which has been provided under the checkout page input field located on Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > General as shown in the screenshot below
The page you have created using shortcode related to the checkout page should be assigned for checkout page by going to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > General as shown in the screenshot below
Step 7: in the checkout page you will see the mini cart section where your order (trip) will be displayed as shown in the screenshot below
Step 8: On the checkout page under Booking/Payment, there is two Booking option i.e. Booking with Payment and Booking only option where you need to choose only one option to book a trip.as shown in the screenshot below
Available options are described below:
- Booking with Payment: This option allows you to book a trip with payment. After selecting Booking with payment option, the available payment gateways will be displayed in the checkout page among which you have to select one payment gateway which is suitable for you under Booking/Payment as shown in the screenshot below

- Booking only: This option allows you to book a trip without payment.
Step9: After selecting booking with payment option under Booking. payment, payment mode section will be displayed with two options i.e. Partial Payment and Full payment. where you need to choose only one option to book a trip as shown in the screenshot below
Available options are described below:
- Partial Payment: Regarding Partial Payment Feature, please once refer given link.
- Full Payment: If you select Full Payment as payment mode during booking, the trip will be booked with complete payment.

For Thank you page, you have to create a page and add a shortcode which has been provided under Thank you page input field located on Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > General as shown in the screenshot
The page you have created using shortcode related to Thank you page should be assigned for thank you page by going to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > General as shown in the screenshot below

Step 10: After completion of the booking process, emails related to the booking as well as payment will automatically be sent to the admin and client as shown in the screenshot below.

To get an email notification, you have to add an email address in the To Emails field under respective email templates (Booking Email Templates/ Payment Email Templates ) by going to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Email as shown in the screenshot below

Also, you can modify the respective email templates (Booking Email Templates/ Payment Email Templates ) as per your requirement by going to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Email > Booking/payment > Email Templates > Email Content as shown in the screenshot below
