The Booking Count feature in WP Travel allows you to display the number of customers who have booked a trip. This helps build trust and encourage more bookings by displaying social proof on the trip page.
Enable the Booking Count #
To enable the booking count for your trips:
- Go to WP Travel โ Settings โ Trips โ Trip Settings.
- Enable the Enable Booking Count option.
- Configure the available settings as needed.
- Save the changes.
Booking Count Settings #
After enabling the feature, you can customize how the booking count message appears on your trip pages.
- Booking Count Label: Enter the message to display when the booking count is greater than zero.
- Default:
{count} people have booked this trip.
- Default:
- Booking Count Label for Zero Booking: Enter the message to display when there are no bookings.
- Default:
Be the first to book this trip.
- Default:
Note: Use the
{count}placeholder in the Booking Count Label to dynamically display the number of bookings.
Display on the Trip Page #
Once enabled, the booking count is automatically displayed on the single trip page below the trip information.
Example (with bookings):
- 29 people have booked this trip.
Example (no bookings):
- Be the first to book this trip.
Displaying the booking count helps potential travelers see how popular a trip is, increasing confidence and encouraging more bookings.
Custom Booking Count #
WP Travel also allows you to display a custom booking count for individual trips instead of using the automatically calculated booking total.
After enabling the Custom Booking Count option in the Trip Settings, you’ll need to add the required hook to activate this functionality and define the custom booking count for each trip.
