How to Provide WordPress Admin Access?

To allow us to effectively optimize your website for SEO, you need to provide WordPress Admin Access. This access enables us to make essential changes such as improving on-page SEO, installing and configuring SEO plugins, and addressing technical SEO issues. By granting access, we can implement the necessary optimizations to enhance your website’s performance and search visibility.

Follow the steps below to provide WordPress Admin Access to us:

Step 1: Log into Your WordPress Admin Dashboard #

  1. Open your web browser and go to your WordPress login page (usually www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin).
  2. Enter your Username and Password to access the WordPress Admin dashboard.

Step 2: Add a New User with Administrator Privileges #

Add a New User with Administrator Privileges
  1. In the WordPress Admin dashboard, go to the Users section located on the left sidebar.
  2. Click on Add New at the top of the page.

Step 3: Fill in the User Details #

Fill in the User Details
  1. Username: Choose a unique username for the new user (We recommend you put “WP Travel SEO”).
  2. Email: Provide a valid email address that we can use to communicate with you (Use: wptravelseo@gmail.com).
  3. First Name & Last Name: Fill in with the user’s name.
  4. Website: You can leave this field blank if not applicable.
  5. Password: You can put auto-generated or your custom password.

Step 4: Set the User Role #

Set the User Role
  1. Under the Role dropdown, select Administrator. This ensures that the user will have the highest level of access to the WordPress Admin, allowing us to make necessary changes and optimizations.
  2. Also, remember to tick on the send user notification button so that we can receive login details.

Step 5: Send the Invitation #

  1. Once all fields are filled in, click Add New User.
  2. WordPress will automatically send an email invitation to the new user account.

Step 6: Share the Login Details #

Login Details
  1. You will receive the login details (username and password) after creating the new user account.
  2. Provide us with these details so we can log in and begin our SEO work.

Step 7: Verify User Access #

  1. Double-check that you have correctly assigned the Administrator role to the user to ensure we can log in without issues.
  2. If any issues arise, you can always reset the password or modify the role settings from the Users section in your WordPress Admin dashboard.

Security Note #

For better security and privacy, remove or change the access credentials once we complete our SEO work. Alternatively, you can create a temporary user account specifically for our SEO optimization purposes.

If you need further assistance or if you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

By following these steps, you’ll provide us with the necessary access to optimize your website’s performance and visibility.
