WP Travel Pro v4.0.0 has included a new payment gateway named Squareup checkout which accepts card payment. Squareup Checkout is the payment gateway that takes payment safely and securely. It is user-friendly and easy to use. Card Payment acceptance for Squareup Checkout Payment gateway is available in the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, Republic of Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
Once the WP Travel Pro plugin is activated, you need to enable the Squareup Checkout Payment gateway to use it by going to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Payment.
After enabling the Squareup Checkout Payment gateway, you have to add required credentials (test or live) in available options which are listed below:
Make sure to disable test mode if you are going to add live credentials.
- Access Token: This option allows you to enter the Access Token.
- Application ID: This option allows you to enter the Application ID.
- Location ID: This option allows you to enter the Location ID.
You can get the credentials (Access Token, Application ID, and Location ID) by clicking here link which is located under the credential input field as shown in the screenshot below:
After clicking here link, you will be redirected to the square developer page through which you will be able to get the required credentials. Now to get credentials, please follow below-given steps:
Step1: Sign in
Step2: You will be redirected to the link where you need to create an Application.
Step3: Create Application
Step4: Open Application
Step5: You will get Access Token, Application ID.
As test credentials, you will get Sandbox Access Token, Sandbox Application ID as shown in screenshot below:
As live credentials, you will get Production Access Token, and Production Application ID as shown in screenshot below:
Step6: Click Locations where you will get location ID
You will get test location ID under Sandbox as shown in screenshot below:
You will get live location ID under Production as shown in screenshot below:
After adding the required credentials (test or live), please select the currency which is accepted by Squareup Checkout Payment gateway by going to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > General as card Payment acceptance for Squareup Checkout Payment gateway is available in the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Now, the setting regarding the Squareup Checkout Payment gateway is completed so Squareup Checkout Payment options will be available on the checkout page for the payment process.
During booking a trip when you reach the checkout page you can simply choose Squareup Checkout Payment Gateway to complete the payment process.
