WP Travel Utilities is a module that consists of basic but important features that will enhance the WP Travel plugin. The plugin basically addresses the minimal but important feature that is not available in the free version of the WP Travel plugin.

To enable the Utilities go through  Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Modules Settings > Pro Modules

It lets you define your own custom trip code, enable/disable WP Travel’s “Powered By Branding” text, or define your custom text. Likewise, it also has the option to send an email related to Trip Booking, Trip Payments, and Trip Enquiry to your multiple recipients. WP Travel Pro plugin must be installed and activated to use this module.WP Travel Utilities is the module that addresses basic but important features which are on demand. WP Travel Pro plugin must be installed and activated to use this module. After you activate the required plugins, a Utilities filled will be added in the setting section of the WP Travel plugin. 

Major Features

WP Travel Utilities is a bundle of some amazing features. The feature included here are in fact the most requested feature from the user of WP Travel plugin.

All of these features are explained in detail below.

Multiple categories in single pricing (Buy Pro): #

A brand new and extensively requested feature of multi-pricing with single cart checkout can be implemented with WP Travel Utilities version 1.3.3. The new version of WP Travel Utilities allows users to add multiple categories of pricing to the same cart and users can carry out the checkout process without having to redo the booking process for the different pricing categories.

Example of the working steps:

  • Go to Single trip and add the pricing through “Add New Pricing Option” and then here add multiple categories defining the price.
  • From the front end select the no of pax of your desired category.
  • Calculation in the Cart page:

You can add a category as per your requirement by going to Admin Panel > Trips > Pricing Category so that the categories you have added will be listed under the Price Categories section.

Checkout Process Settings (Buy Pro): #

Configurations:

After the activation of the WP Travel Pro, go to  “Checkout” by following the path given Admin Panel> WP Travel > Settings.

Checkout Process Options: This feature allows you to add Trip Specific info on the checkout page for the trip.

Available option:

  • Price Unavailable Text: This option allows you to add price unavailable text for trips with empty or 0 prices.
  • Select Booking Option: This option allows you to select the Booking Option for the customers.
    •  Booking Only: This option allows the customer to only book the trip.
    • Booking with Payment: This option allows the customer to book the trip with payment.
  • Enable Multiple Checkout: If this section is enabled then multiple trips can be added in checkout. For detail regarding multiple checkout feature please refer link.
  • Enable Multiple Travelers: If this section is enabled then it collects multiple traveler’s information from the checkout page.

Trip Code (Buy Pro): #

This is the most demanded and important feature. Enabling this feature will allow you to change the trip code of the trips. You can change the trip code for individual trips.

Steps for changing the trip code:

  • Go to individual trip edit screens. At the top right, you can find the field to change the trip code.

Change the code and save the setting. 

Email Options (Buy Pro): #

Another most important and demanded feature is the email option. This feature will help you to remove/edit the Powered by the text displayed at the button of the email. To customize Custom Powered By Text, go to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Email.

Available options:

  • Disable Email Powered By Text: This option allows you to enable/disable the “Powered By Text” in the email.
  • Custom Email Footer Powered By Text: If you don’t want to remove the text completely but wanted to change the text that appears there then this option allows you to change the text.

Email Notification Options (Buy Pro): #

This option helps you to manage the email. Whichever email you enter in these files will receive the email that was previously received by Admin.

You can enter more than one email in a particular email field. 

(Note: If you do not enter email in the fields then by default the email will be sent to the admin email.)

Custom Tabs (Buy Pro): #

WP Travel Pro has been released with the WP Travel Utilities module with this brand new feature i.e Custom Tab.

With this feature, a user will be able to add custom tabs globally or to single trips. More importantly, a user will be able to add as many no of the tab as they wish.

How to add the new tabs?

After the activation of the WP Travel Pro plugin the option to add the tab globally will be available in WP Travel > Settings > Tabs

As for the single trip you need to go to the individual Trip> Tabs section. From here you will be able to add the new tabs by clicking on the “Add New Tab”.  

Global tab setting (Buy Pro): #

This is the global setting. This setting will be applied to the individual trips only if they check the option “Use Global Tabs Layout” by going to the Tabs section of the individual trips.

Available options:

  • Sort the tabs: If you are not happy with the listing of the tabs at the frontend then you can sort it from here. You can rearrange the tabs where ever you like simply by dragging the tabs up and down.
  • Rename the tabs: You can even rename the tabs if you like.
  • Display: In case if you did not want the particular tab to display then you can simply uncheck the “Display” option.

Tab setting for single trip (Buy Pro): #

From here user will be able to manage the single trip tab setting.  The setting here will be applied to the trip only after you disable the “Use Global Tabs Layout” option.  If you enable this option then the setting that you have made from here will not be applied. All of the tabs settings will be from the Global setting which you can manage by going to Trips> Settings > Tabs.  

Available Options:

Trip Specific Info Content (Buy Pro):

This feature allows you to add the Trip Specific info on the checkout page for the trip. 

Available options:

  • Checkout Information Label: This option allows you to add the label for checkout information.
  • Checkout Information: This option allows you to add information.

Inventory Option (Buy Pro): #

The most demanded feature “Inventory option” is now added to the WP Travel Utilities module included in the WP Travel Pro plugin. After enabling WP Travel Utilities a new tab “Inventory Options” will be added to the individual trip. With this feature, you can show the inventory status of the trips. The fields available are explained below:

Available Options:

  • Enable Trip Inventory: This option allows you to enable/disable the inventory feature for the trip.
  • Count Paid Booking for inventory: WP Travel Pro v4.0.3 has come up with a new feature which allows you to reduce the number of available booking seats (PAX) only after booking with payment. To achieve this feature, you have to enable it.

Note: When disabling this option, Inventory will be reduced in case of both Booking only and Booking with Payment.

  • Inventory Size: This option allows you to add inventory size for your trip.
  • Out Of Stock option: This is the most requested feature which is now available in the WP Travel Pro plugin. If the trip is booked up to the max no of pax that you have defined then this feature will allow you to either add an enquiry form or display the Sold out message. For detail please click here.
  • Sold out Message: This option allows you to add a custom message to display when sold out message is enabled for unavailable trips.

FAQs Option (Buy Pro): #

WP Travel Pro has been released with the WP Travel Utilities module with brand new features. One of the features that you will be enjoying is FAQs.The FAQs feature is already available in the Free version of the WP Travel Pro plugin but what makes this FAQs feature different is that now you will be able to add the FAQs globally to every trip. 

  • Global FAQs

Now the user will be able to add the FAQs from Admin Panel >WP Travel > Settings > FAQs.

The FAQs added here will be available to all the trips but trips will display globally added FAQs only if the option “Use Global FAQs” is enabled from the single trip page.

Enabling the Global FAQs option from the single trip edit screen:

To enable the global option go to the individual trip and FAQs tab and enable the option “Use Global FAQs

Shortcode:

The user will now be able to display the FAQs on Post, Page using the shortcode as well. The shortcode will be generated after you add the faqs here and save the setting.

Itinerary Image (Buy Pro): #

WP Travel Pro has been released with the WP Travel Utilities module with the exciting feature of adding an image in the Itinerary section. With the addition of each day planning now, you will be able to add the image as well.

Custom Booking (Buy Pro): #

WP Travel Pro has been released with the WP Travel Utilities module with this exciting feature. If you wish to add the custom form or links instead of the traditional booking layout then this is the option to go for.

Go to Admin Panel > Trips > All Trips and to the individual trip. In the individual trip go to tab Prices & Dates. Now chose the option “Custom Booking” in the “Select Pricing” Option.

Within the custom booking type, you will find the two options “Custom Links”, “Custom Form“.  Please find the description below.

Custom Link:

If you want to add the custom link in the booking tab then you can choose this option. This option allows you to add links that will allow you to redirect to some other URL.

Available options:

  • Link: This option allows you to add the custom link.
  • Link Label: This option allows you to add the label of the link.
  • Open link in a new tab: This option allows you to either enable/disable the feature to make the link open in new tab.

Custom Form: 

If you want to add the custom form then chose this option. This option also allows you to add the shortcode as well.

Available options:

  • Custom from HTML: This option allows you to add the custom HTML.

Thank you page (Buy Pro): #

WP Travel Pro has been released with the WP Travel Utilities module with this exciting feature.

From this Feature, the user will be redirected to the “Thank you” page after completing the payment process.

The Thank you page can be set by going to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > General.

Note: You have to add the shortcode [wp_travel_thankyou] in the page that you have chosen to set as thank you page.

Time Feature (Buy Pro): #

WP Travel Pro has been released with the WP Travel Utilities module which provides the new feature of adding multiple time slots for a date of a trip. But the feature of adding time slots is only available in case of fixed departure dates.

To add multiple time slots for the date of the trip, you will be provided with the ‘Enable Time‘ option under the date option which can be obtained through the ‘Enable Fixed Departure‘ option.

You can add any number of times(in hours) for the specific date of the trip by going to Admin Panel > Trips > Individual Trip > Dates and Prices

Also, you can remove the time by disabling the Enable Time option.
