Misc. Options

Under Misc. Options tab, you will be able to see various options which are mentioned below.

Miscellaneous Options:

Under Miscellaneous Options, you will be able to see various options like:

Enable Trip Enquiry: This option allows you to enable/disable the trip enquiry.

GDPR:

It is a privacy policy that is added to each form in the plugin like “Enquiry” and “Booking form“.You cannot submit the form without checking the button for the privacy policy if you have enabled the feature.

Features:

  • You can edit the message for the privacy policy by going to Trips > Settings > Misc. Options > GDPR Message :

Disable the GDPR feature:

  • If you want to disable the feature then you can do so by deleting all the content inside the box of “GDPR Message“.

Open GDPR in the new tab:

  • After enabling the “Open GDPR in new tab” option the Privacy Policy will be opened in a new tab.

reCAPTCHA (V2 Checkbox) (Buy Pro):

To enable this section go to WP Travel > Settings > Misc. Options > reCAPTCHA (V2 Checkbox) then follow the steps given below.

Step 1: Add the Site Key and Secret Key.

Step 2: Go to WP Travel > Settings > Field Editor > Select Field that you want Recaptcha > Add Field > Select Recaptcha V2 in type option.

Wishlists Options (Buy Pro):

WP Travel Wishlists is an exciting module that is integrated into WP Travel Pro Pugin which acts as a middle ground between purchasing and forgetting a trip that you wish to plan someday. If you cannot make a purchase of a trip you want immediately, you can save it as a Wishlist and return to it later so that you don’t have to search for your favorite trip once again.

Admin Settings:

To activate the Wishlists module, go to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Modules Settings > Pro Modules and enable the Wishlists module.

Available Options in admin settings are:

  • “Add to wishlist” Icon: This option allows the user to select the icon to add to the wishlist.
  • “Remove from wishlist” Icon: This option allows the user to select the icon to remove from the wishlist.
  • “Add to wishlist” Text: This option allows the user to add the text for add to the wishlist.
  • “Remove from wishlist” Text: This option allows the user to add the text for removal from the wishlist.
  • Icon Color: This option allows the user to select a color for the icon

Client Settings:

After the activation of the plugin, a bookmark icon will appear next to the trip image on the archive page as well as on the single trip page. If you want to add the trip to your wish list simply click on the icon.

The trips added to the wishlist be listed in the “Wishlist” tab of the user dashboard.

Fixer API(Buy Pro):

WP Travel Pro plugin provides the feature regarding Multiple CurrencyCurrency Exchange and Weather Forecast API for which you need to add Fixer API / API Layer Fixer API under WP Travel settings.

Available options:

  • Use API Layer Fixer API: This option allows you to enable features to use API layer fixer API.
  • Enter Your API Access Key: This option allows you to enter the Fixer API key/ API Layer Fixer API key required to enable the specific features mentioned above.
    • You need to enter the API Layer Fixer API key if you have enabled the Use API Layer Fixer API option otherwise you have to enter a regular Fixer API key.
    • You can get the API Layer Fixer API key through the “Click here” link below the box.
  • Premium API Key Subscription: If you have the premium key then enable this option.

To know how to get API Layer Fixer API Access Key, please follow the below-given steps:

Step 1: Click the “Click here” option to get the API Layer Fixer API Access Key as shown in above given screenshot.

Step 2: After clicking the “Click here” option, you will be redirected to the API Layer page.

Step 3: Now choose Free Plan and click subscribe button which leads you to sign up page.

Note: You can choose any plan (free or premium) as per your requirement.

Step 4: After signing up you will get subscription successful message.

Step 5: Now, click on Account option under your profile icon as shown in screenshot below:

Step 6: Here you will get API Layer Fixer API Access Key which need to be added under Fixer API settings as shown in screenshots below.

Currency Exchange (Buy Pro):

WP Travel Currency Exchange Rate module is the module that provides a free exchange rate table for your website. The module will add to your site a table with exchange rates. The table can be placed as a widget or shortcode.

Note: Do not forget to “Purge” after making any changes in the module.

Configurations :

After downloading WP Travel Pro Plugin, install it and activate the plugin.
To enable the WP Travel Currency Exchange Rate, go to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Modules Settings > Pro Modules and enable the Currency Exchange Rate.

Admin Side:

After enabling the module to enter the API for currency by going to the Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Misc Option.

Available Options:

  • Use API Layer Fixer API: This option allows you to enable features to use API layer fixer API.
  • Enter Your API Access Key: This option allows you to add the API access key. You get your API key by clicking on the “Click Here” link.

  • Premium API Key Subscription: This option allows you to enable/disable the premium API key subscription. Toggle it if you have a premium ( HTTPS Encryption ) API key subscription.
  • Set API Timer Reset: This option allows you to set the API reset time.
  • Purge API Cache: Click the “Purge” button after every change made for the widget or shortcode to get new data at the frontend.

WP Travel Currency Exchange module provides two options. You can use either set the widget or use the shortcode.

Widget:

You can add the widget “WP Travel Currency Exchange Rates” in your desired widget area. Here you can select your desired currency and display its exchange rate or you can select “All Currencies” and display the currency exchange rate of all currencies.

Available Option:

  • Title: This option allows you to add the title.
  • Select Currency: This option allows you to select the currency.

Front end:

Shortcode:

You can display the currency exchange rate setting using the shortcode as well. The shortcode that you need to add to display the table is :

[wp_travel_currency_exchange_rates]

This is the default and main shortcode.

Shortcode to change the title:

If you want to change the tile of the section then you can use below-given shortcode.

[wp_travel_currency_exchange_rates title="YOUR_CUSTOM_TITLE_HERE"]

Shortcode to select particular currencies:

If you do not want to display all of the lists then you can only display the desired one using the currency code.

EX:

[wp_travel_currency_exchange_rates selected_currencies="NPR,USD,INR"

Client-Side:

Users will be able to view the rates of the currency and plan their trips accordingly.

To activate the Advanced Gallery module, go to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Modules Settings > Pro Modules and enable the Advanced Gallery module.

WP Travel Advanced Gallery is an exciting module included in the WP Travel Pro plugin which gives the functionality to add more informative gallery items including the audio, video ( from the URL as well ), and images. This module can take the transparency and clarity of a particular trip to the users on a whole different level. Admin can promote their trips with the maximum amount of information with no limit of the number of audio, video, and gallery items that they wish to include.

There are three ways of displaying the gallery. You can manage the gallery display setting from Admin  Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Misc. options.

  • Grid: This option displays images in the Grid layout as you can see in the screenshot given below.
  • Masonry: This option displays images in the Masonry layout as you can see in the screenshot given below.
  • Slider: This option displays images in the Slider layout as you can see in the screenshot given below.

Weather Forecast API (Buy Pro):

To activate the Weather Forecast API module, go to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Modules Settings > Pro Modules and enable the Trip Weather Forecast module.

WP Travel Weather Forecast is the plugin for displaying the current weather. It pulls the data from openweathermap.org.

Along with the trip information now you will be able to display the weather of that particular place.

  • Configurations:
    After the activation of the WP Travel Pro plugin, the option to enable/disable the weather forecast feature will be available in WP Travel > Settings > Modules Settings > Pro Modules.

    Finally, the option to add the API key will be available in WP Travel > Settings > Misc. Options

You can get the API key by clicking on the “Click here” link as mentioned in the screenshot below:

  • Widget:
    For the Weather Forecast widget, you need to go to Appearance > Widgets as mentioned in the screenshot below:

Zapier Automation (Buy Pro):

WP Travel Zapier is the module that enables users to create zapier automation for WP Travel bookings and enquiries.
You can easily create the zaps and integrate them with the WP Travel with the help of WP Travel Zapier helping you to get a notification or keep the record in any of your chosen web apps of the enquiry and bookings.

  • Configurations:
    After downloading WP Travel Pro Plugin, install it and activate the plugin.

    To enable the Zapier Automation, go to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Modules Settings > Pro Modules and enable the Zapier.

Also, to set up the configuration to use the Zapier Automation, please follow the path Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Misc. Options > Zapier Automation.

Available Options:

  1. Enable Enquiry Automation: This option allows you to enable/disable the enquiry automation.
  2. Enable Bookings Automation: This option allows you to enable/disable the booking automation.
  3. Enable Enquiry Webhook: This field allows you to add the webhook which you get after creating the Zap by visiting the link given: Zapier link. The process of creating the Zap is mentioned under the “How to create the Zap section
  4. Enable Booking Webhook:  This field allows you to add the webhook which you get after creating the Zap by visiting the link given: Zapier link. The process of creating the Zap is mentioned under “How to create the Zap section
  • How to create the zap?
    Creating a zap is very simple and easy. To create a new zap, please follow the below-given steps.
  • Zap for the enquiry form field:
    Step 1: Click on the “Click here” which will lead you to the Zapier home page.
    Step 2: After visiting the Zapier site, sign up using your Google account.

Step 3: After signing in and login into the Zapier site, Click the “Make a Zap” button to create a new zap.

Step 4: After this, a box appears where you need to Search webhooks and select “webhooks by zapier” then select “Catch Hook” in “Choose Trigger Event

Step 5: Click on the “Continue” button and now you will be provided with the webhook API which will look like this “https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/1234567/test25ge/”

Step 6: Paste the provided API in Enquiry webhook field of WP Travel Zapier then click “Test Enquiry Zap button

Step 7: After that in Zapier site, press continue and then press Find Hook, If everything is working fine then you will be taken to the next step “Do this”

Step 8: Select the app you want to use.

Example:
In this example, we will create zapier automation for WP Travel enquiries.

  1. Create a google sheet from the same account that you have signed in with.

2. After adding the required API key and click on “Find Hook“, in the “Do this..” section select any of the apps. Here we chose a google sheet. After click on the continue button.

3. Now choose your account and click on “Continue

4. Select the Spreadsheet and worksheet as mentioned in the screenshot below.

5. Select the added item in the respective filed as shown in the screenshot below

6. Click on the “Continue” button and “Test with google account”. Finally, your Zap will be ready.

Click on “TURN ZAP ON

7. You will now find the newly added row in the sheet.

8. Go to the Enquiry form and send in the enquiry.

9. Now the data that you have entered in the enquiry form will be stored in that google sheet.

Google Calendar (Buy Pro):

WP Travel Pro v4.0.0 has come up with a new feature that allows you to integrate google calendar with WP Travel plugin. While integrating google calendar with WP Travel plugin, the trip which has been booked in the website will be created as an event with few information in the google calendar.

To integrate google calendar with WP Travel plugin, first of all, you have to create a project to set the client ID and client secret following the given link.

Note: Google console ID will be automatically created through the logged-in Gmail.

To create project, please follow below given steps:

Step1: login/register google console following link.
Step2: Create a new project following the path Select a project > NEW PROJECT.

Step3: Add project name and click CREATE button.

Step4: Select created project either through notification or Select a project dropdown.


Step5: After selecting the created project you will be redirected to the Dashboard page.
Step6: Under dashboard menu go to API & Services > Credentials and click CONFIGURE CONSENT SCREEN.

Step7: Then select External and click CREATE button.

Step8: After clicking CREATE button you will redirect to App information page where you have to fill information in the required fields which are listed below and save the changes by clicking SAVE AND CONTINUE button.

  • App name: In this field, you have to add the name of the App.
  • User support email: In this field, you have to add the email address which has been used to create a project in the google console.
  • Email addresses (under Developer contact information): The email addresses added in this field are for Google to notify you about any changes to your project.

Step9: Then again go to Credentials and Create Credentials.

Step10: After clicking CREATE CREDENTIALS button, select OAuth client ID.

Step11: Select Web Application under Application type, add the name of the web client and add URIs under Authorized redirect URIs(the URLs of the settings page (backend) of your website where google calendar options are available. You can view the redirect URLs under Redirect URLs description in google calendar section too ) then click CREATE button.

Step12: Popup section will appear with a client ID and client secret.

Step13: Now add an email address that has been used to create the client ID as a test user by going to OAuth consent Screen > Test Users as shown in the screenshot below:

Note: If you don’t add the test user’s Gmail in the google console then an authorization error will occur during login through the Google Calendar section.

Step14: Finally go to Library, search Google calendar API and enable it.

After creating client ID and client secret along with enabling/adding other required options in google console, you have to add client ID and client secret as well as redirect URLs under Google calendar section in backend section of the website. As we have mentioned above that google calendar integration feature is only available in WP Travel Pro, to achieve the google calendar integration feature, you have to install and activate WP Travel Pro plugin. After activation of WP Travel Pro plugin go to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Misc. Options > Google Calendar, add the required values for the options which are listed below and save the settings.

1) Client Id: This option allows you to add client ID.
2) Client Secret: This option allows you to add client Secret.
3) Redirect URLs: This option allows you to add URLs of the settings page where google calendar option is available.

Now, login with the Gmail which has been used to create Client ID and Client Secret (in google console) clicking Login With Google button as shown in screenshot below:

Note: In case of already logged in and want to login with new ID and Client secret, please follow the given process logout > refresh page > add new ID & secret >save settings > refresh page > login with google otherwise authentication error may appear

If you are logging in with google for the first time during login process you have to checked View and edit events on all your calendars option as shown in screenshot below:

Now, its time to know how does this google calendar integration feature works.

When a customer book the trip on a certain date, it will be saved as an event for the selected date for booking of the trip in the google calendar with few information. Google calendar event display the information regarding trip title, customer name who booked the trip, booked date, time slot, location, phone number, email, trip price, trip pax, trip edit link etc. as shown in the screenshot below:

Note: Trip total won’t be displayed in the calendar event if you have booked a trip without payment i.e. Booking Only

Multiple Currency (Buy Pro):

The most awaited feature of Multiple Currency is now available in the WP Travel Pro plugin. Using this feature user will be able to set the currency of their choice on the site so that the customer will be able to choose the currency as per their requirement. This feature will address customer from around the globe in a single site.

Steps:

Enable Multiple Currency:

To enable the multiple currencies at first you need to go to WP Travel > Settings > Misc Options > Fixer API and enter the API access key.

Available options:

  • Use API Layer Fixer API: This option allows you to enable features to use API layer fixer API.
  • Enter Your API Access Key: This option allows you to enter the API key required to enable the multiple currency feature.
    • You can get the API key through the “Click here” link below the box.

  • Premium API Key Subscription: If you have the premium key then enable this option.

Finally, save the setting.

After that, please make sure that you have enabled WP Travel Multiple Currency by going to WP Travel > Settings > Module Settings > Pro Modules as shown in the screenshot below:

If WP Travel Multiple Currency has been enabled please go to the Misc. options there you can see the option “Multiple Currency” with which you can choose the location to display the dropdown of the currency and add the currencies that you want to display on your site.

Available Options:

  • Base Currency: This is the currency that is set under the General tab  > General Settings > Currency.
  • Use Geo-Location: If enabled the manual currency selector option will be disabled from the frontend. For detail please refer to the link.
  • Menu Location: This option allows you to choose the location (Menu location) where you want to display the currencies dropdown. If nothing is available under this option then make sure to go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Menus and add the new menu.
  • Multiple Currency: This option allows you to set the currency of their choice on the site so that the customer will be able to choose the currency as per their requirement.
  • Select Currencies: This option allows you to add the multiple currencies that you want to display on the site.
  • Reset Cache: This option allows to force reset the currency’s value. If the button is not used for the rest of the value then the cache is automatically replaced with new data every 4 hours.

Front end:

You can choose the currency of your choice by using the dropdown and complete the payment.

Geo-Location Feature:

The feature of the Geolocation has been added to the WP Travel Pro plugin. In this feature, the currency will be adjusted according to the location of the user. The base currency set in the WP Travel > Settings > General > Currency does not make any difference.

Finally, make the payment from a suitable payment gateway.

How to enable the Geo-Location?

Firstly, you have to enable the Multiple Currency module by going to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Modules Settings > Pro Modules.

If you need to use the Geolocation feature then you need to simply enable it by going to Admin Panel > WP Travel > Settings > Misc. Options > Multiple Currency.

Mailchimp Settings (Buy Pro):

MailChimp is the module included in WP Travel Pro which lists the emails received from the enquiry and booking forms to Mailchimp so that the site owner can identify and reach their previous clients through their e-mail address with ease and convenience.

  • Admin Side:
    After installing the plugin, activate the plugin by going to,  Admin Panel > Plugins

    Once the plugin is installed, go to Admin Panel  > WP Travel > Settings > Misc Options and enter the required credentials.

Available Options 

  1. Mailchimp API Key: This option allows you to add the Mailchimp API Key.
  2. Select List: This option allows you to select the Mailchimp List.
  3. From: This option allows you to select the form where MailChimp is required.
  4. Opt-In: Enabling this option will enable the Mailchimp double opt-in option i.e sends contact an opt-in confirmation email when they subscribe. 
  5. Subscribe Label: This option allows you to add subscribe label.
  6. Subscribe Description: This option allows you to add subscribe description.

Cases : 

  1. Mailchimp opt-in option enabled: When the option is enabled, the user will get an email to confirm the subscription. After the confirmation, user e-mail will be listed in the MailChimp list under the respective subscriber

2. MailChimp Opt-in Disabled: When the option is disabled, the user will get the subscribe checkbox directly in the forms and the emails will be listed in the MailChimp list under the respective subscriber. When the option is turned off, two additional settings will appear.

3. Subscribe Label: This option allows you to enter the subscribe label.

4. Subscribe Description: This option allows you to enter the subscribe description.

  • Client-Side:
    Upon entering the mail address in the booking and inquiry form, the mail address will be added to the directed location
