After you download your theme from WordPress.org, you can choose either of the approaches given below to install your theme.
- Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
- Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
- Select Add New.
- Then select Upload Theme.
- Click Browse Locate travel-escape.zip Theme in your computer.
- Select travel-escape.zip and click Install Now. OR
You can use FTP client like FileZilla to connect your web server.
- Unzip travel-escape.zip to your Desktop.
- Using an FTP client to access your host web server, go to /wp-content/themes/ and upload your new copy of Travel Escape Theme.
- Now, log into the WordPress Dashboard with your login details.
- Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
- You will see the theme in the list.
- Then click Activate button.
- Now the theme will be activated and go through the following options to set up the theme step wise.
Before starting with the front page set up, for this theme you need to assign the page template for the front page.
To assign the page template please go to Admin Panel and to the particular page that you have chose to display the front page. In the individual page go to Page attributes > Templates and chose the templates “Front Page”

- You will be able to set any page as a static front page and blog page as shown on the image below.

Go to Plugins from dashboard and begin installing all the required plugins for the theme(Travel Escape Pro). You can see the suggestions of all the plugins which are essential for the theme.
This theme is made compatible with the elementor plugin. The frontpage can be set up using the widgets available from the theme.
Since the theme is compatible with the elementor plugin, one should be familiar to use the elementor plugin. Here are the steps that you can refer to use the elementor plugin.
- Install Elementor. Make sure you have your WordPress installation ready, along with Elementor page builder installed.
- Edit a new page with Elementor.
- Insert an Elementor Template
- Make the template full-width.
- Add a widget.
There are altogether 4 widget available in the elementor plugin from the Travel Escape. All the widgets are explained below:
First of all click on “Edit with elementor” button. You will reach the elementor edit page. There will you be able to find the widget “Banner Slider widget” :
- Banner Slider:
- Alignment: This option allows you to manage the alignment.
- Post Categories: This option allows you to choose the categories to be displayed in this section.
- Total Posts: This option will allow you to adjust the no of post to be displayed in this section
- Button Label: This option allows you to edit the button label.
- Trip Filter:
- Enable Trip Filter: This option allows you to enable the cards.
- Filter Heading: This option allows you to edit the filter heading.
- Button Label: This option allows you to edit the button label.
The Post displayed under this section comes from the post added from the backend.

- Section Title: This option allows you to manage the alignment.
- Section Descriptions: This option allows you to choose the categories to be displayed in this section.
- Buttons:

- Trip Button Label: This option allows you to enable the cards.
- Trip Meta:
- Number Of Trips: This option allows you to manage the number of trips.
- Display Location: This option allows you to enable/disable the locations.
- Display Ratings: This option allows you to enable/disable the ratings.
- Display Trips Type: This option allows you to enable/disable the ratings.
- Display PAX:

- Section Title: This option allows you to manage the alignment.

- Title: This option allows you to edit the title of the widget.
- Description: This option allows you to add the descriptions.
- Icons: This option will allow you to add the icons.
- Category Type: This option will allow you to chose the post categories.
- Trip Location: This option allows you to chose the trip location.
1. From Customize section, go to Site Identity.
2. From Site Identity, you will be able to add various options related to site identity like:
- Logo ( Only available in WordPress versions greater than or equal to 4.5 ): It changes the main logo of the site.
- Site Title: It changes the main site title of the site.
- Tagline: It changes the tagline (i.e:Description) of the site.Just below site title.
- Site Icon: The Site Icon is used as a browser and app icon for your site.Icon must be square, and at least 512px wide and tall.
1. From Customize section, go to Colors.
2. In Colors Options you will see:
- Header Text Color: This changes the header text color.
- Background Color: This changes the background color of the site.
- Primary Color: This changes the primary color of the site.
- Secondary Color: This changes the secondary color of the site.
1. From Customize section, go to Header Image ..
2. From Header Image Options, you will see Current Header & Suggested Options sections.
- Current header: Upload your desired header image ..
If the preview is fine, click on Save and Publish to apply recently uploaded Header image. - Suggested: You can even use the suggested header image if you don’t want to uplod other image.
1. From Customize section, go to Background Image.
2. In Background Image Options you will see:
- Background Image: Select the image for Background available on media library or upload from the other location.
If the preview is fine, click on Save and Publish to apply recently selected/uploaded image as Background Image. - Image Position :You can adjust the image position according to the arrow.
- Image Size : You will be able to choose various options from the dropdown. (Fit to screen , original , Fill Screen) you can choose any as your requirement .
- Repeat Background Image: You can check this to repeat the background image .
- Scroll with Page: You can check this option to scroll the image with the page .
1. From Customize section, go to Menus.
2. From Menus, click “Add a Menu” button and you will be able to create a menu.
3. Now, click Add Items and you will be able to Add or Remove Menu Items according to your requirement.
4. Select the Menu locations.
5. If the preview looks fine, save the changes by clicking on Save and publish button.
1. From Customize section, go to Menus and inside it you will find Menu Locations.
2. Here you can:
- Select the menu for Primary Menu. Primary menu appears as a main menu in header section.
3.If the preview looks fine, save the changes by clicking on Save and publish button.
1. From Customize section, go to Widgets.
2. From Widgets, you will see different sections to add widget where you will be able to Add a Widget or Remove widgets by going to particular widget section.
3. And the added widget will be displayed in particular section that you have added.
- Available widget Area :
1. From Customize section, go to Homepage Settings and inside it you will see two option.
2. Here you can:

- Your latest posts: When you choose this option then you will see these options.
- Your Latest Posts Title :: This option only works if Static Front Page is set to “Your latest posts.” This option allows to set the title.
- A static page: you will be able to set a page as Front Page and you will find Post Page option as well.
Note: All the custom sections of homepage will only be visible on Homepage setting once you set a page for the Homepage Setting option.
From Homepage : you can set any page as Homepage .
From Posts Page : you can set any page as Blog.
1. From Customize section, go to General Options.
2. From General Options, you will see different sections. They are:

3. In Header Options you will see:
- Enable Call To Action One??: This option allows you to enable the notice.
- Call To Action Label: This option allows you to add the notice description.
- Call To Action Link: This option allows you to add the link to the call to action button.

3. In Typography Bar Options you will see:
- Heading Fonts: This option allows you to change the heading font.

3. In Sharer Options you will see:
- Facebook: This option allows you to add the facebook link.
- Twitter: This option allows you to add the twitter link.
- Instagram: This option allows you to add the whatsapp link.

2. From Theme Options, you will see Layouts Option.
3. In Layouts Option you will see:
- Archive Layout: This option is for archive content layout. Select an option that suits your site.
- Post Layout: This is for post layout. Here you can see different options select one that you would prefer.
- Page Layout: This is for page layout. Here you can see different options select one that you would prefer.
1. From Customize section, go to Theme Options.
2. From Theme Options, you will see Footer Options.
3. In Footer Options you will see:
- Enable Footer Widgets?: This option allows you to enable/disable the footer widget section.
1. From Customize section, go to Additional CSS.
2. Additional CSS you will see:
- You can add your own CSS here.
To update Theme though FTP, follow these basic steps:
- Download the latest version of Travel Escape from your Theme Palace member My-Account to your Desktop
- Unzip travel-escape.zip to your Desktop
- Using an FTP client to access your host web server, go to /wp-content/themes/ and upload your new copy of Travel Escape Theme which shall replace the old files.
