The countdown timer is displayed on the Single Trip Template and dynamically updates based on the cut-off time configured for Fixed Departure trips.
This ensures travelers never miss booking deadlines and encourages faster decision-making.
Steps to Enable Booking Close Countdown
Follow these steps to enable the countdown timer on your trip details page:
- Go to WordPress Dashboard
Log in to your WordPress admin panel. - Navigate to Trip Settings
Go toWP Travel β Settings β Trips β Trip Settings. - Enable Countdown
Turn on the option βEnable Trip Booking Close Countdown.β
Once enabled, all trips will display a countdown timer on the trip details page, showing the remaining time until bookings close.
Countdown Timer on Individual Trips
To enable the countdown for a specific trip, follow these steps:
- Edit a Trip
Go toWP Admin β Tripsand select the trip you want to edit. - Enable Fixed Departure Dates
Navigate to the Dates / Pricing section and enable Fixed Departure Dates. - Set Cut-off Time
For each departure date, configure the Cut-off Time (e.g., 24 hours before departure). - Save Changes
Click Update β the countdown timer will now appear automatically on the frontend.
