The WP Travel and WP Travel Pro plugins offer various email templates that are triggered during the booking process, both for bookings with payments and inquiries.
With WP Travel Pro, you have the ability to send emails to multiple recipients, including both the admin and secondary email addresses.
Table of contents
With the release of WP Travel v11.0.0, new hooks have been introduced that allow you to disable emails sent to the admin, ensuring they are only sent to secondary email addresses. This feature gives you greater control over where booking, payment, and inquiry notifications are delivered, without impacting customer emails.
Hooks to Disable Admin Emails
You can add the following filters to your site to stop admin emails while still allowing emails to be sent to secondary recipients:
Disable Booking Emails to Admin
add_filter('wp_travel_send_booking_admin_emails_to_admin', function(){
return false;
});
Disable Payment Emails to Admin
add_filter('wp_travel_send_payment_admin_emails_to_admin', function(){
return false;
});
Disable Trip Enquiry Emails to Admin
add_filter('wp_travel_trip_enquiry_emails_to_admin', function(){
return false;
});
By implementing these hooks, booking, payment, and inquiry emails will no longer be sent to the admin email address and will instead be directed solely to the designated secondary email addresses.
Where to Add These Snippets
You can add the above snippet in one of the following ways:
Child Themeβs functions.php File
- Navigate to:
/wp-content/themes/your-child-theme/functions.php - Paste the code snippet at the end of the file
For step-by-step guidance, refer to our KnowledgeBase article on how to create a child theme.
Using a Code Snippets Plugin
- Install and activate a plugin like Code Snippets
- Create a new snippet and paste the code above
- Save and activate the snippet
Important: Always avoid placing custom code in your parent theme to prevent losing changes during updates.
WP Travel also provides an option to disable booking and payment emails entirely for both the admin and the client. However, the hooks mentioned above are particularly useful when you want to stop admin notifications while still sending emails to secondary recipients.
