WordPress provides a feature regarding resetting the password of the customer (user) with the role WP Travel Customer through the admin dashboard. When the customer book a trip without being logged in, the user will be created with the WP Travel Customer role whose password can be managed by the admin.
If you are an admin then you can either set a new password and send it to the user or send the password reset link to the user by going to Admin Panel > Users > Edit user whose password needs to be reset > Account Management as shown in the screenshot below.
Note: Users whose role is other than administrator won’t be able to reset password of the customer.
To reset the password of the customer please follow the below-given steps:
Step 1: Go to Admin Panel.
Step 2: Go to the User menu.
Step 3: Edit the user whose password need to be reset as shown in the screenshot below:
Step 4: Scroll down to the Account Management section where you will see two options to reset password i.e. New Password and Password Reset. Now, if you want to reset the password for the customer yourself then click the Set New Password. After clicking Set New Password, WordPress will auto-generate a new password or you can set a new one.
Note: Reset password should be send to customer manually( For example: throug email)
Step 5: Click the Update User button to save the changes.
Step 6: Also, if you want to send a password reset link to the customer so that customer can reset the password themselves then click Send Reset Link button which will directly send an email to the customer with a password reset link.
