First up – I just wanted to say I think your plugin is really great and I’m currently trying to implement it on a website for a client.
I’ve noticed that you cannot have multiple dates and multiple prices for a tour – without having the paypal payment option selected in the settings. My client would like to use the shopping cart process (so the client loads a shopping cart with their desired tour), but we don’t want to take payment online – we only want the client to make the booking.
To that end – on the checkout page, you have radio button options for either “Booking with payment” or “Booking only”. I would like to only give them the “Booking only” option.
Is there a way to do this in the current plugin? Or could you provide me with a hook type action I can place in my functions file to only have the desired option be available?

The feature that you have discussed above is currently not available in the plugin and to achieve what you require higher code customization.

I’m afraid we didn’t find a solution with the WP Travel plugin.
We felt it too costly and too risky to get a third party developer to create the enhancement.
I find enhancing a plugin without the primary developer usually leads to conflict or update issues down the line that need to be fixed (at a cost).
Of course, that’s just in my experience and I’m sure others have had better luck 🙂
So seeking help from a 3rd party DEV as suggested above could be an option for you.
I still feel the plugin is very good, but not being able to add multiple dates without having to have the PayPal process enabled, made us look to other options.

Actually, it requires much time and effort and to get what you want. Besides this, once you hire a developer you would get exactly what you want. Also, the main purpose of hiring the professional by paying money is to get exactly you want otherwise there is no point in offering those services.

Not disputing the time and effort involved – or contesting that I wouldn’t “get what I wanted” should I go that route.
I actually achieved what I basically wanted by hacking 1 file and 3 lines of code 🙂
But the hack option is not sustainable. My concern is future development cost and support for the enhancement.
Are the developers from wensolutions.com affiliated with WP Travel or are they neutral 3rd party?
Would their custom plugin be catered for or considered when WP Travel releases an update?
If they are 3rd party – I highly doubt it.
I’d hate to spend money on the development of a plugin that breaks after the first security or feature update of the core. Also support wise, I’d be dealing with 2 parties instead of 1. Not ideal.
That’s my only concern and I’m simply sharing my previous experience.
I genuinely like the plugin and applaud what it does as well the work that has gone into it – it’s great.
PS. I did send WP Support a private email about developing the option for me, but received no word.
So I assume the WP Travel’s DEV’s didn’t do custom development on request. If you do – please confirm – as that’s a very handy piece of information for me to know and I’m sure for others to know too 🙂May 31, 2018 at 4:06 am #6905

As for your query regarding the development team, WP Travel plugin is actually a product of WEN Solutions and the developer from the WEN Solution has developed the WP travel plugin so all the enhancement, updates and also the supports are handled by the same team. So please do not get confused with the product and the developement as all of them is handled by the same core team.
Now regarding your customization query, since the development team will itself handle the customization task you won’t have any issue on the security and the updates. The development team are very experienced and has been performing the customization for the plugin so there will be no any such problems.
Lastly, about the query regarding your email, we will relook the inbox as we may have missed it unknowingly. But we suggest you to resend the email with your request as the communication will be fast as we do not have to recheck inboxes throughly.
Also, thank you very much for the appreciations and admiration for the plugin and this is what makes us keep going and make the product better in coming days.
