Not sure whether the following applies to WP Travel or WP Utilities.
I discovered a quirky bug. Steps to recreate the bug:
1. Create and publish a trip with Fixed Departure and Multiple Pricing. Inventory Enabled.
2. Book X number of PAX for a trip
3. Change the “Unique Name for the Pricing Option” on this already-published trip (All Trips > Specific Trip > Dates and Prices > “Create a Unique Name for the Pricing Option).
4. After this Change to the name is published, the inventory in the dropdown PAX selector resets to the original number of available spaces for the trip.
If a user, or a group of users, visit the trip and book more spaces than available, would lead to B2C issues for understandable reasons. Fortunately, I caught that this is happening.Current Fix:
After changing the Name for the Pricing Option, I must make new bookings for the bookings customers had already made so that new customers do not overbook the trip.
The same issue happens if the trip is sold out. The Sold Out Message will disappear, and the full inventory will again appear. Can we can push fix for this in the next release?
Thanks so much!

KeymasterHello @infosanooktiew-com,
Actually it is not an issue. After you reset the name of the pricing then it is considered as the new pricing option that is why it reset its value to its original one.
Also, you will not be able to book the no of seat exceeding its number. You cannot cross its max seat limit and book the trip. So the issue you have mentioned here is quite not clear.
Further, regarding the query about changing the pricing name, we will see what can be done so that it works on both ways.
Let us know if you have any queries further.
Thank you.

ParticipantHey @support:
Thanks for the follow up.
I understand your response as the following summary: Users who published a trip itinerary cannot change the pricing name on this already-published itinerary or the value for the available spaces resets.
If my understanding of your response is correct, then I don’t see the logic in favor of this system.
Why?
Tour Operators publish a trip, then X number of bookings are made, confirming the trip departure. Since as of the time of this writing WP Utilities Inventory Options does not allow for indicating the trip as a confirmed departure (so that other potential customers know this information), the Tour Operator can only modify the pricing name of the specific trip to indicate this additional information. This is simply changing a pricing name to an already established trip.
Thus, modifying the pricing name of this already-published and confirmed trip shouldn’t reset the value of the spaces available for the trip precisely because bookings have been made (and the trip is already published)! 🙂
If a new trip is created, then sure, of course the spaces should reflect the value of spaces available, but modifying the name of an already-published trip should not impact available-space values.
Something to consider. 😉

KeymasterHello,
First of all, thank you for your suggestion.
Regarding the feature you have requested, we will discuss and may enhance the feature you have requested in future.
Also, if you are willing to display some message in single trip page when no more seat remain for booking(all seats are booked) then you can use sold out message option which can be obtained through inventory options. You can display message as per your requirement in single trip page when all seats have been booked(but sold out message option is not applied when any seat is available for booking) by going to Admin Panel > Trips > Individual Trip(edited) > Inventory Options as shown in screenshot below:

If you have any queries further, let us know.
Thank you.

ParticipantHey @support:
Thanks for the reply.
I think we must be misunderstanding each other provided language barriers. 😉
I don’t refer to a sold-out message, which is already displayable under inventory options as you mention.
I refer to a published single-trip itinerary for which a user of the plugin may need or want to make a change to the pricing name. The trip need not be sold out.
Anyways, thanks for the reply.
