My little business runs city bike tours and walking tours in Havana. Most of our activities take no more than one day.
Is it possible to implement or re-implement the “trip duration” field in “Dates and Prices” to set the duration in just hours?May 14, 2018 at 7:43 am #6527
First of all thank you very much for using the WP Travel plugin.
As your trip is conducted in hourly basis you can use the plugin by changing the label of the Days and night as hours and minutes.
For this, you need to activate the child theme. After activating the child theme in your child theme functions.php file add below given code:
Hope this helps.
If you have any query further please let us know.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I forgot to say that I have both types of tours. Some tours only last hours. But others take days. A good solution would be if the duration had a checkbox to choose which type of tour is. I think. What do you think?May 21, 2018 at 5:31 am #6679
Currently, there is no such feature in the plugin and it cannot be achieved with the simple code customization.
Also, the feature will be listed as the requested feature and will be added in the addons that we are developing.
As for now if you want the feature you can always consider hiring the professional developer.
To hire a developer refer to below given link:

Thank you for this code. I needed hours and minutes for my site as well and not days. I hope the feature to be able to pick both or one or the other will be created.August 18, 2018 at 3:23 pm #7811
I spoke too soon! there is a massive problem with this changing the days to hours and minutes. We need to change days to hours and minutes in other pages as well. Example: https://www.privatejeep.com/itinerary/
On the trips breadcrumb it now has days when it should be hours and minutes. Can you please provide a code asap.
Same problem goes for travel locations page it is still days and needs to also be hours and minutes: example here:
OH WOW NO NO NO! There is no way to use the code you provided on its own. It messes the entire site because all other locations still show days. So when you increase the hourse you add on days! My homepage images show days as well.
EDIT: I am actually going to have to delete this code from the functions in my child theme. It is not the proper way to implement this change. It must be done in too many places. Will have to wait till we have a proper feature in the admin dashboard. 🙁 Please make this a requested feature. It is so needed! THANKS!August 20, 2018 at 5:05 am #7817
We have already added the feature to set hourly trips to our list of feature requests and is currently under development.
We will notify you with the release of the feature soon 🙂
If you have any queries/issues or requests further, please feel free to write back to us.
