Can we use a child theme code to get the latest version of Font Awesome icons? The Travel Log theme is using an old version (4.7.0) and the latest version is: 5.7

The font awesome icons are important to my site as I actively use them in the trip Facts.

In the facts section for “Trail Status” the (fa fa-route) icon is missing because the version you are using is outdated.

Yes, you can but you have to dequeue the icon and enqueue it again through the child theme which requires a bit of code customization.

We will definitely upgrade the font awesome version in the Travel Log and release the update soon. Hoping your kind co-operation as always.

Did the latest update of WP Travel have the new font awesome or not?

Actually, the update has to be done in the theme, not WP Travel plugin.

We are working on the update as for now. We will let you know once the update is out.
