Please check this post, https://wptravel.io/support-forum/topic/gallery-thumbnails/#post-18040 it clearly details the problem
Crux of the matter is there is NO Control on the size of thumbnails displayed in the gallery of a trip and in the search section of homepage
So whatever is the value you define in functions.php and in thumbnail size of settings, the thumbnails are always displayed based on the width of the screen. As mentioned in the post #18040 it is ~365px at its widest (even if mentioned 250 in all settings). As the display size is always larger than the actual size of the thumbnail the images are stretched to that size drastically reducing quality making very poor looking pages and website.
This is a severe issue and would be a deal breaker if not resolved.July 18, 2019 at 12:15 pm #18078
We will surely work on the enhancement of the images in the future updates.
Thank you very much for your suggestions.July 26, 2019 at 10:42 pm #18279
My thumbnails in my WP Travel gallery are also extremely blurry. Can you please post exact steps to fix this BUG. This needs to be fixed on your end. Why do we yet again need to add more code to our child themes for a feature that should work in your plug-in?
I do not want to change the size of the thumbnails in my WP travel Gallery. I just need the thumbnails to be clear.
Here is a link to one of my trips with great quality full size images yet blurry thumbnails.

We would like to apologize for the trouble.
As for your query, please once update the thumbnail size by going to Admin Panel > Settings > Media.
And also regenerate all the thumbnail using the thumbnail regenerating plugin.
This should work.
If the issue still persists then kindly let us know.
Thank you.July 30, 2019 at 12:14 pm #18381
