QUESTION: Is there a way to get a clean URL for each of our Trip Types? I want to make a Menu where the top link leads to All Trips. That is easy: https://www.privatejeep.com/itinerary/

Under all trips I am going to add each Trip Type. Right now I have to search the trip type and copy the ugly URL which looks like this:
    https://www.privatejeep.com/itinerary/?price=&type=9&location=&view_mode=list

type=9 in the above ugly URL = Scenic Drives in my case.

Can you please make “Trip Types” like “Destinations” with their own URL, Slug, and Description. This would greatly help with our site SEO as well.

    Hello @privatejeep,

The “Trip Type” taxonomy, like the default post category, has its own archive URL which sets the permalink structure as defined in Admin Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks.

The trip type archive page can be accessed via URL structure :

    http://YOUR SITE URL/trip-type/term-name

You can also change the URL structure and base slug for each taxonomy registered by WP Travel plugin from your Settings > Permalinks.

If you have any queries/confusion further, please feel free to write back to us.

    Hope this Helps,

    Best Regards !!

Thank You! That really helped clean up my Trip Menu and the URLs.

I seem to have found a bug. One of my trip types and one of my destinations both have a image as the background of the title banner. However, I do not see a way to actually control that. What are they pulling an image while others are not?

Here are the links that have an image under the title:

    Destination example: https://www.privatejeep.com/travel-locations/fourpeaks/

    Trip Type example: https://www.privatejeep.com/trip-type/hiking/

What is causing these two to have a background image while the rest of my destinations and trip types do not have one?

Here is a link with the totally wrong image as the title background! This is definitely wrong and a bug.

SUGGESTION: this should be a standard option for both destinations and trip types in the admin settings.

    Hello @privatejeep,

The banner background image in Travel Log theme is actually set to display the Header Image and Featured image depending upon the pages and post single template.

Also, currently we have not set images for the header (featured Image) in the Trip Type / Location taxonomies for WP Travel.

However, we will add the requested feature to our list of feature requests and will be considered upon plugin update.

If you have any queries/issues further, please feel free to write back to us.

    Best Regards !!

But there is a Bug! The image backgroun in this link is not set by me anywhere!

Here is a link with the totally wrong image as the title background! This is definitely wrong and a bug.
    https://www.privatejeep.com/travel-locations/mogollonrim/

I need to get this image removed. How can I remove this please?

BUG FOUND: This mystery background image was being pulled from my privacy policy page featured image image! That is a bug. I deleted my private policy feature image on that page and it removed the banner on my destination category. This needs to be fixed.

    This is a bug mess!

This destination has a background image being pulled:
    https://www.privatejeep.com/travel-locations/flagstaff/

This destination has no background image! Why?
    https://www.privatejeep.com/travel-locations/campverde/

Again, we really need to be able to set unique background banner immages for each Trip Type and for each Destination category.

The background image on each needs to match the trip or destination and NOT be an unrelated image.

Please do add this as a built in feature in the admin settings.

Please let us know if the bug still exist or not?

Yes this problem still exists on my site.

FEATURE REQUEST: Again, we need to be able to set the banner images for both Trips and Destinations in the admin area. These images need to be related to each category and not be random.
