We have clients who book well in advance for our trips, a year sometimes. Our payment terms state that the final balance must be paid 2 months before departure. This usually equates clients settling their balance in the period between 3 – 2 months before departure.
The settings on the partial payment reminder email provide a maximum time of every 15 days. In our case, this would mean if we were to enable the feature then the clients would receive a reminder twice a month for 9 months.
The clients are likely to treat these emails as spam, which will get filtered and potentially all our emails will finish being filtered to spam.

As for now, the setting is for the days and to edit the days we do not have any filter available so code customization is required.
So currently it is not possible we will definitely work on this in the future.

Thank you for your reply. Can you clarify that if reminders are not switched on then the client cannot pay the outstanding balance through the site?
Is this also dependant on whether <Require Customer login or register before booking> is enabled?

Actually, partial payment reminder feature is the feature which is used to send the reminder notification(in case of partial payment) to the client so that they can make full payment before going to trip.

Also, if reminder option is disabled, client can make the remaining payment as reminder option is only related with sending notification feature. But if you want the partial payment feature in your site then you have to enable the login or register option before booking the trip because if you donot enable the login/register option before booking then the partial payment made by the customer cannot be tracked and client cannot make the remaining payment through user dashboard page. In that case client has to make remaining payment manually.
