Hi,
I put logo and already uncheck “Display Site Title and Tagline” but the site title and tagline still show up. I’m confused. You may take a look on this screen capture.

The issue that you have mentioned is noted as the known issue and we will fix them in the coming update.

As for now, for the quick fix please paste below given CSS by going to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.

#site-identity .site-description, #site-identity .site-title  {
    display: none;
}
