Currently, you will be only able to set a single currency. If you would like to work with the multiple currency then you need to hire a customizer for this.

Guys this request has been made numerous times over the passed year or two and still you haven’t added it into the options??? This is crazy!!!! There are very few travel companies around that only offer tours to one destination or use one one currency for all their tours. This will be a deal breaker for many people looking to use WP Travel. If i wasn’t so far along with the plug in i would rather go for something else.

I’m also looking for that option, a good way to improve the price option is that you can put the currency symbol at the time of publishing the price. or an addon like in woocommerce called Currency per Product Options, which allows you to manage two different currencies or several at the same time in your paid version, one when you publish the product you choose at what price you want to publish the product.

Hello my friend, thank you very much for your prompt response, good news about the new options you are doing, but I hope we also have some of those limited options but in its free version, I say it because in my case I am from Venezuela and we are It makes it impossible to buy online with a credit card in foreign currency for the exchange control imposed by the Venezuelan government. Just to add. I think most peoples problems would be solved if there is an option of not having a global currency predefined. Just let the user key in her own currency in every trip.
For a lot of people, multiple currencies with conversion rate are necessary only if they are selling online. If they are not its just extra functionality they just do not need but also replacing functionality which can be useful.
I would like to point out another problem with forcing down conversion rate through the plugin. In the real world this won’t match with what the banks really offer (to the seller as well as buyer), which would make the price low/high and therefore useless. So thats something to chew on

So what that would mean on the ground
In Wp Travel -> Settings -> General Settings
let user not select any currency, leave it at select currency

If this is done now what would show in the trip page even value is entered for price is N/A 0

Instead, just let the user key in the currency, value is entered anyway.

This way in a simple stroke everybody demanding multiple currencies is satisfied.

The only thing that might not work is autoconversion but as already mentioned it’s not very useful.
And if you want to carry all those features keep it in the pro version.

That would be win-win for everybody

Also, we have understood that you are suggesting for the feature to let the customers select the currency from the front-end for the trip. But if you allow the customers to select their own currency from the front-end then it can create conflict with the price as for example, if you create a trip of “select_currency” 200 then if a customer select a $ then the checkout price will be $200 or if another customer selects £ then the checkout price will be £200.

Due to this reason, we doubt that letting the customers select the currency can create higher conflicts. We will surely work on this feature and come up with some appropriate product.

I think there is some confusion on who is setting the currency. It is the website owner/ developer who is building the trip page and NOT the ‘customer’ who is viewing/buying the tour.

When I suggested setting the currency, it would be in WordPress admin. So the person setting it there would be the person creating the page. The same person would be creating the trip page so he will be fully aware of which currency to use for which trip and he will set the value of this trip.

The main reason why multiple currencies are needed as trips to different locations are in different currencies, eg. for me domestic tours would be in my local currency while international trips like to Thailand might be in Bahts, and to most parts of the world would be in USD or Euro.

So I need to be paid in that currency itself, conversions do not work as they do not match actual bank rates or charges.

Therefore NOT having a global set currency is better for me than having 1 currency set for all trips. This would mean I do not use that field.

This would be the case for most tour operators.

Hello friends, in my case it is the same, local or national trips will be shown in Bolivars, and trips abroad out of Venezuela in dollars since it is the most widespread and used currency globally. That is why the issue of conversion of prices and currencies does not make me so necessary, as the possible option of being able to publish the tourist packages, some in local currency Bass and others in Dollars $ and the client will pay in that currency. The conversion of currency in my country is very complicated since the Bolivar with respect to the dollar changes almost every hour. But I will be attentive to your improvements and new options.

Yes, since the currency rate changes in every hour so it is pretty much impossible to keep up with the currency exchange rate which will generate lots of issues in case of payment.

So developing the addon where the admin will have the authority to set the currency will work best. We will work on this and hopefully release the addon soon.
