ParticipantHi,
I don’t know if the update for this issue has been released or not. But, the “Check to use featured image as banner image” will now allow itself to be unchecked. However, I have to make sure I uncheck it every time I make an edit. It will not stay permanently unchecked. As you can imagine, that is not ideal.
If you are still working on the issue I understand but I wanted you to know what is happening on my side.
Thanks

ParticipantHi,
I finally got it to go. Doing the steps 1 and 3 in order is what did it. I did some images with all three steps but I think step 2 was degrading the quality of the image. I skipped that step and they turned out fine. Thank you for your help.

ParticipantHi,
I want to make sure I am understanding you when you say size. When you say 600x600px I understand that to mean dimension. Am I not correct thinking that?
Here is a screenshot from my media library of the very same image you sent me above:
In the image metadata at the top right it says: 1563×1156
Are we not talking about the same thing?
Thanks

ParticipantHi,
I tried what you suggested:
Admin Panel > Settings > Media and set the image size 600X600 px in Medium size option.
but there was no change.
Is there something else I can try?
Thanks

ParticipantI had to take out .byline:hover to get it to work. But now it works. Thanks

ParticipantHi
Am I able to change that feature so I can see the captions?

ParticipantHi again,
I have since doubled checked the size of my images being used on the blog. They are 1600 X 1200.
I tried using a regenerating plugin on one of the images as a test, to o discernible effect.
Thoughts?

ParticipantHi,
1)As soon as I read your response I realized what was going on. I’ve got it. Thanks.
2) Ok
3)This may be a WordPress thing now that I’m looking at it but let me try to explain again. In the Post Editor there is a Featured Image area. Clicking on set feature image a new frame pops up Featured Image. Once I select an image from the media, on the right I see a thumbnail of the image with its data. Below that I see a URL field, Title field, and below that a Caption field. I have written a test caption in there but I don’t see it when I go to the blog entry.
In the WordPress forum it says how it will look will depend on your theme so I thought you guys may have a suggestion. I would like a caption under the Featured Image in the individual blog post. Am I making sense?
Thanks again,
Steve
